PapaI put of telling this story for far to long. I am sorry if it is too late to turn in, but I am still going to finish it. I didn't want to finish the story because I have secretly been pretending to myself that my Papa was still with us. So I have just been putting it off for as long as I could.

Story ScriptAfter the story is laid out in a map the next step is writing a script. For a 3-4 minute story roughly two pages of script are required. Leaving time for pauses. The link below is the rough script I used for the digital story.

Project Reflection
This was by far the hardest project I have ever worked on in school. I put it off till the very end because every time I tried to work on it I would get too choked up and have to stop. I feel I got a lot more than what was intended out of this project. While I understood the basics of designing an iMovie project I never realized how much effort is required to follow a story arc. It took a ling time and there was more editing than I would ever hope to do again. It is something I do not see myself doing for a class, but there are a few ways I could possibly use a video project.
Editing is what takes up the largest amount of time. A digital story is not something I would leave completely up to my students. The best way to implement this kind of project I believe would be letting the student’s design and film the project. While a teacher, or a good TA could take over the editing. To many students editing one project would destroy it, and frankly the editing is what takes up the majority of time.
I would not recommend having the students tell a story like the one I told. I felt way too emotional and it showed in my work and product. Projects like these should only be designed around something a person is not deeply connected with. If I told a story about moving around, my first job, or a teaching experience I feel I could have accomplished a much better project. I just want to close out with the fact that I learned a lot. Not just about editing videos. This project was very reveling to my inner working and helped me develop. I feel I will continue making my videos on my own time. They will work good as a form of journaling.
